OBX Pridefest Returns for 7 Days Starting Monday, September 9th, 2024


The board of directors of OBX Pride, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity, is thrilled to present the 13th Annual Outer Banks Pridefest from Monday, September 9th to Sunday, September 15th, 2024.


"Tickets are now on sale for new events, along with returning favorite traditions like our Sunset Cruises and our free, family-friendly Pride Festival at Roanoke Island Festival Park, promising an unforgettable celebration whether you participate for a day, two, or the entire week!" said India Foy, Chairman of OBX Pride, Inc. “The Outer Banks community came together to help make this week packed full of fun happen.”


Each day of OBX Pridefest features different businesses, landmarks, and local restaurants and caterers including:

● FREE Music Bingo at Red Drum Grill and Tap House in Nags Head from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Tuesday, September 10th.

● ‘Colorful Food for Colorful Characters’, a Special Ticketed Dinner & Drink Fundraiser with Chef Wes Stepp of Red Sky Casual Dining & Cocktails in Duck on Wednesday, September 11th at 6 PM. A Party Bus from Nags Head is available to escort attendees to Duck at an additional cost.

● Two Pub Crawls with OBX Party Bus visiting three safe, pride-friendly establishments also on Wednesday, September 11th, departing from Nags Head from 7:30 PM - 11:30 PM on Wednesday, September 11th, and 1 PM - 5 PM on Friday, September 13th, both with music and an MC along for the ride.

● Two Nights of Sunset Cruises aboard the Crystal Dawn at Pirate’s Cove Marina on Thursday & Friday, September 12th & 13th. Thursday night’s cruise features acoustic music from Sara “Sass” Siders with food provided. Friday night’s cruise features a returning entertainer, DJ KO, and food from Black Pelican. Drinks are bring your own.

● Pride & Joy Drag Show at the Theater of Dare in Kitty Hawk on Friday, September 13th, with food and drinks available for purchase.

● FREE LGBT Pride Festival at Roanoke Island Festival Park featuring live bands, food and drinks, vendors, drag entertainers, and face painting for the kids, on Saturday, September 14th from 11 AM to 5 PM.

● One Night Only: A Night of Celebrity Impersonations with Coco Vega at Roanoke Island Festival Park with light appetizers by Ten O Six Catering includes music and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase from 8 PM – 10 PM followed by an hour of dancing from 10 PM – 11 PM on the evening of Saturday, September 14th

● FREE Drag Story Hour at the Dare County Arts Council sponsored by Downtown Books in Manteo and Duck’s Cottage Coffee & Books on Sunday, September 15, at 10 AM

● Drag Bruch at Jennette’s Pier Catered by Dawn’s Kitchen on Sunday, September 15th, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM features 15 different menu items including with your ticket purchase along with champagne, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.

● FREE Pridefest Survivor’s Wrap Party with That Guy Shane at Old Tom's Beer & Wine Provisions in downtown Manteo on Sunday, September 15th, at 3 PM
